From Aaron Ramsey to Sebastian Vettel: How Famous Faces Did in the London Marathon

A list of celebrities who finished the 2026 London Marathon has come out, and former Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel stole the show with an amazing time of 2:59:08. Vettel, a four-time F1 champion, was running to raise money for the Brain & Spine Foundation and The Grand Prix Trust—two charities closely linked to Formula One for over 30 years.
The 38-year-old, wearing bib number 45294, started his race at 9:35 am local time and crossed the finish line around 12:04 pm. Other big names from sports also finished the full 26.2 miles. Former Arsenal and Cardiff City midfielder Aaron Ramsey came in just behind Vettel, with a time of 3:00:30.
Cricket legend Sir Alastair Cook ran to support the Ruth Strauss Foundation and finished in 3:05:15. Former British tennis player Laura Robson was close behind with the same time, 3:05:15, while snowboarder Aimee Fuller, who competed in the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics, ran a solid race in 3:36:48. Dame Laura Kenny, Britain’s most successful female Olympian, also took part and finished in 3:45:05.
Other sports stars who joined the marathon included former Arsenal defender Tony Adams, champion jockey AP McCoy, and several former Olympians like Ben Ainslie and Chris Newton. Also running were ex-footballers former Manchester United and Burnley keeper Lee Grant and ex-Republic of Ireland international Darren Randolph. It was a great event with lots of familiar faces giving it their all!
