From the field to the camera: How PK handles the stress of football and social media
Pressure is something every footballer faces, and for Pique Humble, also known as PK Humble, learning to handle it has been a big part of his journey from grassroots football to the professional game — and even behind the camera!
At 29 years old, PK Humble started playing football at Enfield Town while also growing his social media career. This unique path brought its own challenges, but with each step, he learned how to manage the mental and physical pressures of football, plus the scrutiny that comes with being in the spotlight.
“I don’t really show pressure; I just take things as they come,” PK Humble told LADbible during Under Armour’s HeatGear campaign. “I’m thankful for where I am, and I have nurses, doctors, and mentors around me. That’s real pressure. What I do is nothing compared to them.”
PK Humble shares his love for football on social media, with over 270,000 Instagram followers enjoying a mix of football, comedy, and a peek into his lifestyle. Of course, with that visibility comes pressure and criticism, but he handles it well.
“If I’m honest, criticism doesn’t bother me because you can’t please everyone,” he said. “It’s not healthy to get caught up in negativity or lose yourself when things are going great. That’s how you start thinking you’re untouchable. I live for myself, my family, and my friends—they keep me grounded.”
His story shows how he’s learned not just to manage expectations but to grow stronger because of them. He turns pressure into motivation, both on and off the field.
“I thrive under pressure, so I adapted quickly,” he shared. “Coming from where I do, you have to be flexible and ready for anything.”
