Gary Lineker has called Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe an “unpleasant human being,” saying he’s “even worse” than the Glazers as the British billionaire keeps facing criticism.
Ratcliffe made the news last week after criticizing the UK government’s immigration, welfare, and tax policies. After he called the country “on the slide,” Manchester United’s Muslim supporters’ club asked him to resign, saying the 73-year-old INEOS chemicals boss “must go” because of his comments.

Meanwhile, United struggled against an out-of-form Fulham team, with Matheus Cunha’s late deflected goal saving a point for Michael Carrick’s side.
Never one to hold back, former England striker Gary Lineker talked about Ratcliffe while discussing United’s problems on and off the field.
On The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker said: “When I look at Man United, I see problems coming from the top. I have to give the Glazers credit for finding someone worse than them to blame — Jim Ratcliffe. I don’t think he’s a very nice person, and the club is a bit of a mess right now. So, well done to the Glazers for shifting the blame!”
Lineker also mentioned JJ Gabriel, a talented 15-year-old who seems set to leave United after asking to have his registration ended. Big clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in him.

Describing the club as “a bit of a mess,” Lineker said: “The stadium is falling apart, there are lots of complaints, and they’re losing young players. It looks like Gabriel will leave. The results are inconsistent again. The club has supported the manager many times, but it’s not working. Something has to be wrong at the top,” said the former Match of the Day host.
As of September 18, JJ Gabriel’s representatives reportedly talked with Barcelona about his next move.
Why does the teenager want to leave? A Daily Mail report says it’s because of “the decline of United since the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.”
A family source explained that United are “far behind” clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and even local rivals Arsenal and Manchester City. They want JJ Gabriel to “learn from the best” to reach his full potential.
