Jamie Vardy is ready for a big move, with four ‘possible’ offers still on the table.

Wrexham is gearing up for an exciting move to sign Jamie Vardy as a free agent, with reports saying the famous striker already has ‘four’ offers on the table. The Red Dragons have had a tough start to the Championship season, losing two and drawing one of their first three games. They recently lost 2-1 to Birmingham City on Friday.

Manager Phil Parkinson’s team is busy ahead of the transfer deadline, having agreed a deal to bring in midfielder Callum O’Hare from Sheffield United. So far, Wrexham has spent about £25 million this transfer window, signing players like Issa Kabore, Ben Whiteman, Anthony Patterson, Jacques Ekomie, and Danny Imray. The £8 million fee for goalkeeper Patterson from Sunderland is a new club record for Wrexham.

Jamie Vardy has been a free agent since leaving Italian club Cremonese after they were relegated to Serie B. Journalist Ben Jacobs says Wrexham is now interested in signing him. Vardy has also started a new podcast called ‘Jamie Vardy’s Having A Party’ and secured the rights to show seven Bundesliga matches on Friday nights on his YouTube channel.

Vardy has been linked to quite a few clubs, including West Ham, who recently dropped to the Championship. His first club, Sheffield Wednesday, who play in League One, have shown interest too. Although Sheffield Wednesday face some Football League rules after coming out of administration, their new owner David Storch has promised to find a way to make an offer to Vardy.

According to Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett, other clubs are interested as well. Brazilian club Sao Paulo could be a possible destination, as well as teams in the MLS. In MLS, a special system decides which club can negotiate with a player like Vardy if he becomes interested.

Dorsett also mentioned that Vardy is not rushing to pick his next club and plans to wait until after the transfer deadline to decide. Because he is already a free agent, he can sign with any club at any time and be registered in their squad.

“Jamie Vardy will wait until after the transfer window closes before making a decision about his future,” Dorsett wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Offers from West Ham, Sheffield Wednesday, the MLS, and Sao Paulo remain as ‘possible’.”

Wrexham’s interest in Vardy seems to be a fresh development this window, but they’ve shown interest before. In 2025, Wrexham’s executive director Humphrey Ker told SPORTbible, “There’s nothing to say Jamie Vardy wouldn’t be a great fit for Wrexham. Age and profile wouldn’t put us off.”

Last season, Vardy scored seven goals in Serie A with Cremonese but couldn’t prevent their relegation on the final day. Now, all eyes are on where the striker will land next!
