LeBron James’ future has been a hot topic lately, and the 41-year-old has shared when he plans to choose his next team. At the end of June, LeBron announced he was leaving the LA Lakers after eight years, saying his main goal is to win a fifth championship ring.
Since then, several teams have shown interest, especially the Golden State Warriors, Philadelphia 76ers, and Boston Celtics. ESPN’s Shams Charania even revealed that LeBron is seriously considering an offer from the 76ers. At the same time, Warriors star Steph Curry shared he’s excited about teaming up with LeBron.
“I’d say I’m more interested in playing golf with LeBron,” Curry joked last week. “We’ll take care of basketball later, but I want to see LeBron the golfer. He’s really working hard on his game. But of course, we’d love to play together. Hopefully, it happens. He deserves to take his time with this decision.”
LeBron is waiting for the right fit before making his choice. During a live chat at The Shop at Fanatics Fest in New York, he talked about what he wants from a team. “What’s most important is that I want to compete at a high level,” said the four-time NBA champ. “I want to join a franchise that lives by the same motto as me — practicing championship every day and trusting the process.”

“Where LeBron plays will impact the schedule,” Silver said at a recent event in New York. “I’d like him to make his decision soon so we can finish the schedule. Teams, networks — everyone wants it locked in.” Silver added that LeBron’s decision will influence key dates like opening week and Christmas Day games.
