Man Utd find out how much Arsenal wants for Myles Lewis-Skelly as Chelsea makes an offer for the England star.
Arsenal’s price tag for Myles Lewis-Skelly has come out, just as Manchester United and Chelsea show interest in the young England star.
On Tuesday, football.London reported that Chelsea got the chance to sign Lewis-Skelly, who actually spent some time on trial there as a youngster. While Chelsea rate the 19-year-old highly, the Premier League champions wouldn’t block a move if a good offer comes in.
But United are also in the mix. Jamie Jackson from The Guardian says the Red Devils have also been offered the chance to sign Lewis-Skelly. United want a new left-back and are eyeing Newcastle’s Lewis Hall. RB Leipzig’s David Raum is another option for the spot.
Lewis-Skelly is a great fit because he can play both left-back and central midfield. United still need midfielders, even after signing Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
Arsenal value Lewis-Skelly at about £45 million. That fee would help them recover most of the £75 million they spent on Bruno Guimaraes.
Lewis-Skelly got fast-tracked into Arsenal’s first team and signed a five-year deal at the Emirates last year. But he only started five league games last season, and it looks like he won’t get much more time in defense or midfield. Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hincapie seem ahead of him at left-back, and he’s competing with big names like Declan Rice, Martin Zubimendi, Mikel Merino, and new signing Guimaraes in midfield.
He did get a surprise start in the Champions League final loss to Paris Saint-Germain after a strong run in midfield. He’s started every pre-season game so far, with Arsenal’s World Cup players still joining later.
Lewis-Skelly was the youngest player to score on his senior debut and has six England caps, but hasn’t played since October 2025 due to limited club minutes.
With United’s interest, former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon talked about a possible swap deal involving Lewis-Skelly and Marcus Rashford. Rashford is back at Old Trafford after a loan at Barcelona where he scored 14 goals and had 14 assists in a league-winning season.
Dixon thinks a swap could help both players. He said, “Would I swap them? Yeah, probably. It’s not that I don’t rate Lewis-Skelly, but he’d benefit from playing somewhere else. Rashford needs the right support, and Arteta would be great for him. Give him the space to play on the left, and I’d love to see him in an Arsenal shirt. I’m not sure he’s always top-class, but with Arsenal’s current squad, he’d be a solid addition.”
