The French player has quickly become one of the top stars in world football, scoring 50 goals in 114 games for Bayern since moving from Crystal Palace.
There has been a lot of talk about where he might go next, especially with Real Madrid showing interest last summer. But Olise stayed with Bayern, and now the club wants to offer him a new deal.
According to a report from BILD, Bayern wants to extend his contract until 2032 and is ready to pay him £21 million a year, which would make him one of the highest-paid players at the club. However, Olise insists on having a release clause of £170 million included. This would make it easier for him to move to another club if the right offer comes along and give him more control over his future.
Bayern legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge understands how valuable Olise is. He called him “exceptional” and said the club will have to offer him a good deal soon.
Last summer, Real Madrid showed strong interest, but without a release clause, Bayern had the upper hand and managed to keep Olise.
His teammate Harry Kane has praised him a lot, saying Olise has stepped up his game recently. Kane told BILD, “He started the season amazingly. Olise is currently discussing a new contract with Bayern. Interestingly, he doesn’t have a deal with any major sports brand. According to French newspaper L’Equipe, Olise isn’t interested in a boot sponsorship. A source said, “He doesn’t have one, and it doesn’t really interest him.”
Unlike many top players, Olise doesn’t focus on the big commercial deals or having to wear specific boots or gear. He usually picks his boots based on style, often mixing Nike, Adidas, and even New Balance, matching them with his kit.
He has never signed a boot deal in his entire career, which is quite rare at the top level of football.
