MVP boss makes bold Jake Paul claim after watching Anthony Joshua vs Kristian Prenga
Nakisa Bidarian, a partner at Most Valuable Promotions, made a bold statement about Jake Paul after Anthony Joshua’s fight with Kristian Prenga.
Joshua wiped the sweat off his brow after beating Prenga on Saturday night. Seven months after a serious car accident that sadly killed two of his close friends, AJ wanted to show a strong performance. He was inspired by Tyson Fury’s win over Mariusz Wach the night before.
But things started rough for Joshua. He was knocked down twice in the first round, including once within 20 seconds after a powerful punch from Prenga. This early challenge made the much-anticipated fight against Fury seem uncertain. However, Joshua came back strong, landing a hard combination that sent Prenga out of the ring and ended the fight.
Prenga gave Joshua a tough first round, and there was a big sense of relief when AJ got through it. Nakisa Bidarian, who works closely with Jake Paul, believes Joshua’s win shows that Jake Paul did a good job against Joshua in their own fight.
“Jake Paul lasted longer than the guy on Saturday night,” Bidarian told Sky Sports News. “He fought for six rounds, but that guy was down in two rounds, taking the same punches Jake took. I’m happy with Jake’s performance, though I didn’t like that he broke his jaw. The hard punches Jake took didn’t hurt him like they did the heavyweight on Saturday.”
In December, Joshua knocked Jake Paul out in the sixth round, breaking Paul’s jaw with a punch. Paul had to have surgery, including titanium plates and teeth removed, showing how powerful Joshua’s punch was. Before the knockout, Paul actually held his own well, landing several strong punches and avoiding many of Joshua’s hits.
So it’s easy to see why Bidarian feels this way, but it’s also clear that Prenga was the only one to knock Joshua down in the early rounds.
In May, Paul shared an update on his health and said he might never fight again. But just two months later, he changed his mind and said his recovery is going well. He plans to get back in the ring soon.
“I’m definitely still fighting,” Paul said. “We’re talking with multiple opponents right now, figuring out when to come back. Recovery is good, and I’ll get cleared to spar soon. We’re going to keep going and might even try some MMA. There’s a lot coming with MVP and some big promotions. The rivalry between MVP and UFC is still alive.”
Paul also named some dream opponents, including former five-weight boxing champion Terence Crawford and UFC star Nate Diaz.
