Real Madrid have made their final decision on Endrick’s loan after interest from Man Utd and Aston Villa.
Real Madrid has now made it clear that they won’t let Endrick go on loan, especially after Man United missed out on signing his teammate, Aurelien Tchouameni.
Michael Carrick had been keen on bringing in the French midfielder this summer and even received some hope in July that a deal could happen if Real Madrid signed Manchester City’s Rodri first. But things changed when Barcelona jumped into the race for Tchouameni at the end of July and are now leading the chase.
Meanwhile, Tchouameni has signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid and is expected to play an important role under Jose Mourinho this season.
Tchouameni was seen as the perfect midfield addition for Man United after they already signed Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos from Aston Villa and Chelsea earlier this summer. But as they keep searching for another midfielder, Carrick is also focused on strengthening other parts of the team, like finding a left-back to challenge Luke Shaw and a striker to compete with players like Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo.
Newcastle’s Lewis Hall is their main target for the left-back spot, but it looks like Newcastle might not let him go. Meanwhile, several forwards are now on their radar.
One of those forwards is Real Madrid’s young star Endrick, who is being chased by both Man United and Aston Villa. The Brazilian forward joined Real Madrid in July 2024 and has already made 40 first-team appearances in all competitions. Last season, he was loaned to Lyon, where he scored a hat-trick on his debut and finished with eight goals in 21 games, helping him earn a spot in Brazil’s squad.
Now 20 years old, Endrick was expected to be the third-choice striker under Mourinho, behind stars like Kylian Mbappe and Carlos Ancelotti, which made a loan move possible. Both Real Madrid and Endrick seemed open to the idea of a loan, especially since he would have had the chance to play regular Champions League football at either Man United or Aston Villa.
However, Real Madrid has recently changed their mind about letting him go. As Fabrizio Romano shared on X, “Real Madrid informed Endrick and his agents that they have decided to keep the player at the club.” The club’s management told his agency, Roc Nation, about their decision, and Mourinho also agrees with the plan.
This means Endrick will now fight for his spot at Real Madrid next season. While this could slow down his development if he doesn’t get much playing time, Mourinho clearly believes in his talent and plans to give him a regular role. So, Man United and Villa will need to look for other options.
One new name linked to Man United is Inter Milan striker Pio Esposito, who is also attracting interest from title-chasing Arsenal.
