Ric Flair shares that he was ‘banned’ from WrestleMania because he threatened a WWE superstar.

Ric Flair recently shared that he wasn’t allowed to attend WrestleMania 42 because he threatened to confront a WWE superstar. Flair, 76, is one of the most famous champions in wrestling history, with a career spanning 50 years and time in WCW, WWE, and TNA.
This year, though, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer wasn’t invited to WrestleMania in Las Vegas. He says the company blacklisted him after a tense moment with Ludwig Kaiser, who now goes by ‘El Grande Americano.’ Kaiser used to date Tiffany Stratton, a female wrestler who faced off against Flair’s daughter, Charlotte, at WrestleMania 42.
Before the event, there was a heated rivalry where things went off-script. Stratton made some personal digs about Flair’s divorces, and Charlotte said Kaiser had been messaging her on social media. This real-life drama was even featured on WWE’s Unreal series on Netflix. Flair got so upset that he called Kaiser and threatened him.
Flair told the story during an interview with Ariel Helwani on Uncrowned. He called Kaiser, mistakenly, a 24-year-old “English kid,” and said once Kaiser told Triple H, Flair got blacklisted. Even though Flair stayed in Vegas for other WrestleMania activities, he wasn’t allowed at Allegiant Stadium for the big nights or to watch his daughter’s match in person.
Flair said, “I didn’t get invited to WrestleMania this year. I threatened to beat up Tiffany Stratton’s husband last year, and I wasn’t allowed to go. A 24-year-old kid being threatened by a 76-year-old man, and I can’t go? Are you kidding me? That English kid won’t get far in wrestling. He’ll be a fly on the wall in a year.”
He explained more about the situation, saying, “Tiffany made a smart remark about Ashley’s divorces—I know she didn’t write it herself; someone gave her the script. Then Kaiser implied, based on social media, that he was interested in Ashley. That’s when I called him and said, ‘When I see you, I’m going to beat you up.’ He tattled to Hunter, and I was banned. Where is he now? Is he even on the roster? Little punk.”
Kaiser and Stratton have since split and moved on with different partners. Flair also said he feels he should have been honored with a “red carpet to the front row” for everything he’s done in wrestling. He added there’s “too much politics and not enough wrestling,” mentioning a request to induct NBA legend Dennis Rodman into the WWE Hall of Fame that was ignored.
Flair summed it up by saying, “Dennis Rodman called me and asked if I’d induct him in the Hall of Fame. I told the powers that be, but never got a response. I think there’s a lack of respect. Right now, so many people are under fire, and everyone is just ducking and dodging.”
