Sky Sports apologizes after two golf stars lose their cool in a surprising moment

Sky Sports quickly said sorry after Robert MacIntyre and Tyrrell Hatton lost their cool at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
From October 1–4, 168 pros and 168 amateurs teamed up to play in this famous golf event at St Andrews, Carnoustie, and Kingsbarns.
On day one at Carnoustie, defending champ MacIntyre and three-time winner Hatton were in the same group with their amateur partners when things got a bit heated on the 8th hole.
Over the weekend, MacIntyre played with American businessman Brett Overman, while Hatton was paired with his dad, Jeff.
The two teams were competing against each other, and MacIntyre’s team was doing better as they reached the tricky par-three eighth hole.
MacIntyre and Overman were two under par, while Hatton was one over for the day. Unfortunately, MacIntyre’s first shot on hole 8 didn’t go as planned—it veered far right of the green.
Frustrated, the Scotsman shouted, swore, and slammed his club into the tee box.
Shortly after, Hatton had his own tough moment when his tee shot landed in a bunker. His bunker shot barely escaped but rolled well past the hole and off the green. This made him lose it, and he angrily hit his sand wedge into the sand.
Sky Sports quickly apologized to viewers after both players lost their temper, especially since this event is usually more relaxed and friendly.
By the end of the first round, MacIntyre shot a 71 and stayed strong in the race to keep his title, while Hatton finished with a 74.
Even though stars like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy weren’t playing, many top golfers joined the event. Plus, some well-known sports stars and personalities also took part in this fun pro-am tournament.
Here’s a list of some of the pairs competing at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship!
