Lewis Hamilton’s special perk at Ferrari revealed, while Leclerc isn’t allowed the same.

Lewis Hamilton recently shared a fun detail about his Ferrari contract — it gives him a special freedom that Charles Leclerc doesn’t have. Hamilton hopes to tick off some big goals on his Formula 1 bucket list while racing for Ferrari.

Ferrari has two top drivers, but they’re not sure who to back fully. Leclerc is their star, coming up through their academy and now in his eighth season as their main driver. He was the number one after Sebastian Vettel, but things shifted when seven-time world champ Lewis Hamilton joined the team.

Now, Hamilton is chasing his eighth F1 title, and it looks like Ferrari might lean on the British legend this year—unless he gets too crazy with his stunts! Before the Austrian Grand Prix, Hamilton told Ferrari fans at the Red Bull Ring how amazing the track is. He even joked about wanting to skydive onto the track one day. Leclerc was pretty surprised by that.

Hamilton said, “I’d love to skydive here. It’s such a beautiful place. I want to make a grand entrance like that!” But Leclerc joked that his contract wouldn’t allow him to do something that wild. “Oh, does Ferrari allow you?” he asked. Hamilton replied, “Yeah.” Leclerc laughed, “They don’t trust me with a parachute!”

Leclerc has been known for taking big risks this season, sometimes too big — like when he crashed at his home race in Monaco. He was frustrated and blamed his brakes for the crash, saying they didn’t work right. He’s honest about making mistakes but doesn’t want to make excuses.

Ferrari seemed surprised by his comments and has been careful with Leclerc, especially with Hamilton finishing strong in races. It looks like Ferrari trusts Hamilton’s mix of skill and carefulness more, maybe that’s why Hamilton gets the green light for daring ideas like skydiving, while Leclerc is better off watching from the sidelines.
