Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have revealed their wedding date and location, planning to tie the knot at one of the world’s most famous sports venues. After dating for two years, they shared their engagement news on August 26 with a sweet Instagram post.

Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs star, proposed in his garden at home in Missouri in a quiet but loving moment. Now, less than a year later, they’re preparing for one of the biggest celebrity weddings in recent times.

According to TMZ, their big day is set for Friday, July 3, and the venue is already chosen. The couple will say “I do” at New York’s Madison Square Garden, with around 1,100 to 1,200 guests expected to join them.

To keep things private, the couple is reportedly sending out wedding details through text messages instead of traditional invitations. Supermodel Karlie Kloss and singer Benson Boone are on the guest list too.

Madison Square Garden, home to the New York Knicks (NBA) and New York Rangers (NHL), is also famous for hosting big boxing, UFC, and WWE events. It’s a top concert spot where Taylor has performed eight times.

It’s a full-circle moment for Taylor, marrying Travis in the same arena where she’s had some of her biggest shows. The building’s design helps with privacy – there are no windows for photographers, and the underground parking and multiple exits should help guests come and go smoothly, even with crowds outside.

Because it’s such a huge event, security will be tight. Private guards and the NYPD will be involved, with nearby streets likely closed off to keep things safe and private.

Luckily, the venue is available on their chosen date, as no other events are booked at MSG between June 29 and July 6.
