WWE lets go of 10 wrestlers in their newest roster update

The WWE recently announced they’re letting go of 10 wrestlers in their latest roster changes. We’ve seen how tough WWE can be before—just a week after WrestleMania 42 this year, 22 wrestlers were released, including Zelina.

This news comes just a week before the big WWE event, Triplemanía 34, which will take place over two days in Paradise, Nevada, and Mexico City.

According to Sean Ross Sapp on X (formerly Twitter), the company decided to release these 10 wrestlers. The biggest name among them is Jasper Troy, a 28-year-old who was a former WWE Speed Champion. He joined WWE in August 2022 and spent four years with the company.

Wendy Choo and Adriana Rizzo are also notable names on the list. Choo started with WWE in 2018, spent a lot of time in the NXT division, then joined Evolve in 2025. She won their championship in April 2026 and held it for 70 days. Rizzo joined WWE in 2022 and was part of the D’Angelo Family during her time there. She also appeared on the Evolve series in 2026 after an ACL injury in August 2025.

Other wrestlers released include Zena Sterling, Anya Rune, Braxton Cole, PJ Vasa, Gary Wilson, Ellen Akesson, and Marcus Brown.

The report didn’t say if more roster cuts are coming. Previously, after WWE released 22 wrestlers following WrestleMania 43, more wrestlers were let go just days later.

Fans quickly shared their thoughts on social media after the announcement. Many were upset about losing some of the well-known wrestlers. Jasper Troy got a lot of attention, with fans feeling like WWE didn’t use his talent well, especially after his success.

One fan said, “Jasper Troy was wasted; he had potential. That feud after Oba made him look strong, then he lost to smaller wrestlers.” Another said, “TKO is pissing me off!!! Cutting Adriana Rizzo and Jasper Troy is wild!”

However, some fans understood the reasons behind letting go of certain wrestlers. One commented, “I get cutting Rizzo because she got injured and The Family split up, so there was no storyline for her. But Wendy?! She was on Main Event just last month and was Evolve Champion only 4 months ago…”
