Yan Diomande fires back at Karim Adeyemi’s wife as their online fight gets more heated
Yan Diomande has finally spoken out after some online talk sparked by Barcelona forward Karim Adeyemi’s wife, Loredana Zefi. The 2026/27 summer transfer window was one of the busiest and priciest in football history, with several players being bought for over £100 million. Diomande, who moved to Real Madrid for a huge fee, has now responded to the questions about his big price tag, which Loredana Zefi helped start.
After lots of rumors linking him to Liverpool, 19-year-old Diomande chose to join Real Madrid for up to £120m (€140m). Since then, he has played eight games but hasn’t scored yet, which led some fans and critics to question the money spent on him.
One of the most famous voices joining the conversation was Loredana Zefi, wife of Barcelona’s Adeyemi. She seemed to hint at Diomande’s expensive transfer while celebrating her husband’s great start at Barcelona. Like Diomande, Adeyemi moved to one of Spain’s top clubs this summer, with Barcelona paying around £19m plus possible extra fees for the 24-year-old.
But unlike Diomande, Adeyemi has shined so far this season, scoring three goals and helping with three assists in his first eight games. During a post about her husband’s good form, Zefi simply wrote: “140 MILLION,” which many took as a jab at Diomande’s big price.
Since then, Diomande has chosen to reply—not with words, but with a TikTok video. Filmed on a Real Madrid team bus, the Ivory Coast player lip-syncs a song called “Migbo” by Sethlo. The lyrics, translated to English, say: “140 million, that’s what they asked for, they’ll always come to criticize us, we just keep climbing.” The song talks about staying strong, dealing with jealousy, and pushing through despite haters.
It’s clear that Diomande is using this song to respond to Zefi and anyone questioning his talent or value after a slow start at Real Madrid. Real fans will probably want to see him prove himself on the field, but at just 19, he still has plenty of time to live up to the huge fee paid for him.
