Zuffa Boxing has made a surprising offer to try and sign a Matchroom fighter away from Eddie Hearn.
A British boxer promoted by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing has shared that he’s been offered a big deal by Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing.
Zuffa Boxing, owned by UFC and WWE’s parent company TKO Group Holdings, shook things up when they signed Conor Benn, who had worked with Hearn for his entire career. This led to a public spat between White and Hearn, with both taking jabs at each other.
Dana White, who co-founded and leads Zuffa Boxing, has criticized old-school promoters like Hearn and Frank Warren and promised to sign the best fighters worldwide. Besides Benn, Zuffa also signed Jai Opetaia, a two-time IBF champion. Heavyweights like Efe Ajagba and Mihai Nistor, who once beat Anthony Joshua as an amateur, are also with Zuffa.
Tyson Fury hinted at a “big announcement” which many thought meant joining Zuffa, but his promoter Frank Warren and manager Spencer Brown have denied any contract talks.
Now, another British heavyweight under Matchroom, Johnny Fisher, has revealed he’s been given a very tempting offer from Zuffa—worth six or seven times more than his current deal with Hearn.
Fisher told The Stomping Ground, “I’m really excited about the offer. I want to see what can be done. There’s a chance I might not even have to give Eddie matching rights because of a past match, but I want to give Eddie the chance to come close to that offer.”
He added, “The money is amazing and the fights I’d be asked to take match that figure. I’ve been offered a one-fight deal, and it’s exceptional money—much higher than what Matchroom offered.”
Johnny Fisher is a heavyweight with an impressive record of 14 wins out of 15 fights, with his only loss against Dave Allen in May 2025.
