Steph Curry has been pretty open about what he thinks of the exciting idea of LeBron James joining him on the Golden State Warriors.

LeBron, who’s 41, is one of the biggest stars in NBA history. He’s had an amazing career spanning over 20 years, playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers (twice), Miami Heat, and now the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s won the NBA Championship four times and has been named NBA Most Valuable Player four times, along with four NBA Finals MVP awards. He’s also taken home three Olympic gold medals with the US team—in Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Paris 2024. In Paris, he and Curry won gold together.

Steph Curry is also considered one of the greatest basketball players ever. He’s played his whole NBA career with the Warriors since 2009 and has won four NBA titles (2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022). He was named NBA Finals MVP in 2022.

Recently, there have been rumors that LeBron might join the Warriors once his Lakers contract expires this summer. NBA insider Jake Fischer mentioned that the Warriors plan to go after LeBron when he becomes a free agent on June 30.

Before they played together at the Paris Olympics, Curry wasn’t too caught up in the idea of teaming up with LeBron, saying, “I’m good right now.” On the Draymond Green Show in 2022, Curry admitted he was curious about what it might be like to play with LeBron.

After winning gold together in 2024, Curry seemed more open to the possibility of playing side-by-side in the future. He said, “Hopefully, there will be more experiences in the future, even if we’re teammates or not. I think we motivated each other even more for however much longer we have left playing.”
