Bukayo Saka’s dream of playing in the Champions League final has come true!

Bukayo Saka must be the happiest player at Arsenal right now because his dream for the Champions League final might be coming true.

Nearly six and a half years after Mikel Arteta became Arsenal’s manager, he’s leading the team through an amazing season. After a 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid in their home leg, Arsenal made it to the Champions League final by beating Diego Simeone’s team 2-1 on aggregate.

The big final will be on May 30 at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, where Arsenal will play against the reigning champions, Paris Saint-Germain, who won a thrilling 6-5 aggregate match against Bayern Munich.

Facing PSG in the final might seem scary for many players, but it looks like it’s exactly what Saka hoped for. After scoring the goal that sent Arsenal to their first final in 20 years, Saka chatted with CBS Sports about this huge moment.

When asked who he wanted to face in the final, he joked, “Come on, man… you can’t ask me that. I’d have to give a safe answer.” But when they pushed him, he said, “You know deep down who we’d want to face.”

Saka didn’t say it outright, but fans think he meant PSG—especially since they were knocked out by the French team last year in the semi-finals. That time, PSG went on to win the final against Inter Milan.

Now, Arsenal has the chance not only to get revenge on the 2025 champions but also to win their very first Champions League trophy in Budapest. Arsenal fans are feeling hopeful and think their star player Saka can take advantage of one weak spot in the PSG team when he faces his dream opponent.
