Barcelona celebrated their 29th La Liga title with a 2-0 win over Real Madrid at Camp Nou, thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Ferran Torres. Rashford, the English forward, got things started early by scoring a stunning free kick in the eighth minute, and Torres added another before halftime.

For coach Hansi Flick, this title means a lot. It’s his second La Liga win in two years, and it must have been an emotional night for him as he led the team despite the recent loss of his father.

Real Madrid had a tough game, which isn’t too surprising considering some drama before the match. Their player Federico Valverde ended up in the hospital after a clash with teammate Aurelien Tchouameni.

Rashford must be loving his time in Barcelona. On loan from Manchester United, he’s already won the Supercopa and now this La Liga title. Whether he stays in Barcelona permanently this summer is still up in the air.

What’s really special is that Rashford became the first English player in 41 years to win La Liga with Barcelona. The last was Steve Archibald back in 1985. Another famous English player, Gary Lineker, played for Barca in the late ’80s but never won the league since Real Madrid dominated those years. Still, Lineker did grab the Copa del Rey and the European Cup Winners’ Cup during his time with the club.

Rashford must be proud to lift his first league trophy, especially with Barcelona. Let’s see if he can add even more titles if he decides to make the move permanent this summer!
