Carlos Alcaraz’s return date shared after details of a private chat come out

Carlos Alcaraz might be making his comeback sooner than we expected! The former World No.1 has been recovering from a wrist injury that kept him off the court for weeks.

He got hurt during the Barcelona Open, and many worried it could keep him away from tennis for a long time. Because of the injury, he had to miss his home tournament, the Madrid Open, for the second year in a row, as well as the Italian Open and the upcoming French Open at Roland Garros.

People have been wondering when he’ll be back, but so far Alcaraz hasn’t shared a clear timeline. Some thought it might take a while, but Spanish journalist Angel Garcia shared some hopeful news. On Cope Murcia, he said, “With conservative treatment, which I know he’s following, Carlos is going to recover and get back to his best. I believe he could be ready to play again in about a month and a half, maybe even in time for Queen’s Club before Wimbledon.”

That would be great news! Last year, Alcaraz won Queen’s easily, but he missed the chance for a third Wimbledon title after losing to Jannik Sinner in the final. Returning for the grass season would help him try to get his world No.1 ranking back, which Sinner took from him after winning Monte Carlo in April.

Alcaraz is amazing on grass, with a 35-4 record — that’s a 90% win rate, his best surface by far! Since the injury, he’s kept quiet about his comeback and focused on healing. But former Spanish player Pablo Andujar, who once ranked 32nd in the world, recently talked about a chat he had with Alcaraz.

Andujar told RNE Deportes, “I spoke with him a couple of days ago, and he said he wants to come back only when he’s 100%. He’s not setting deadlines but is taking things day by day. From my own experience with multiple surgeries, I know that setting deadlines can cause stress or even sadness if you don’t meet them. I think he’s very aware and is focused on returning fully ready.”

All in all, it looks like Carlos is on the right path and his fans have plenty to be excited about!
