Napoli say no to two Premier League bids for Scott McTominay as his future gets more interesting.

Napoli have turned down offers from two Premier League clubs and a team in the Saudi Pro League for Scott McTominay, the 2025 Serie A MVP.

Scott joined Napoli in the summer of 2024 after spending 22 years with Manchester United, rising through their youth and first teams.

At 29, he played a big part in Napoli’s Serie A title win in the 2024/25 season, earning the MVP award thanks to 16 goal contributions in 34 games. That season was a huge step up, doubling his best numbers from the previous year with Man United, where he scored 7 goals and made 1 assist in 32 league matches.

This season, McTominay has kept up his great form with 13 goal contributions in 32 games, even though Napoli dropped to second place. The team’s manager, Antonio Conte, might finish the season a full 14 points behind champions Inter Milan if they don’t win their next match against Udinese.

Despite adding another Manchester legend, Kevin De Bruyne, to the squad, McTominay remains the standout midfielder. De Bruyne has scored only two non-penalty goals since joining from Manchester City last season.

There’s been a lot of interest in McTominay from England and Saudi Arabia, but Napoli have made it clear he’s “untouchable” as they focus on the 2026/27 season. According to Tuttosport, the club is moving quickly to get Scott to sign a new contract, likely running until at least 2030, with an option for 2031.

This new deal will come with a big pay raise, rewarding him for two strong seasons in Italy. Scott has told Corriere dello Sport that he’s happy in Naples and isn’t thinking about leaving, despite rumors about a Premier League return.

“My agent hasn’t spoken to anyone about my future, only with me and the club,” he said. “I’m very happy here. I’m a Napoli player, and that’s all I’m focused on. I see myself staying here a long time.”

McTominay will be back on the pitch tomorrow against Udinese, aiming to help Napoli secure second place after leading them to the title last year.
