David Beckham recently shared a warm message for his son Brooklyn, just days after Brooklyn appeared in a tough World Cup ad that seemed to take a jab at his dad.

Back in January, Brooklyn Beckham, the oldest of David and Victoria Beckham’s kids, posted some strong words on social media, saying his parents were trying to “ruin” his marriage to Nicola Peltz. He made some bold claims, including one about his mom dancing in a way he felt was inappropriate at his wedding.

Since then, Brooklyn has blocked his parents and siblings on social media and has been living with Nicola in Los Angeles, staying distant from the family.

But now, David seems to be trying to heal things with a sweet post on social media. On Father’s Day in the UK (June 21), David first thanked his own dad, Ted, and then shared a loving message for his children and Victoria.

He wrote on Instagram, “Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy Victoria Beckham for giving me our beautiful family,” alongside pictures with his kids, including Brooklyn. He also wished a Happy Father’s Day to dads everywhere.

People quickly noticed Brooklyn hadn’t wished his dad a Happy Father’s Day online, which wasn’t surprising. Meanwhile, his brothers Cruz and Romeo posted their own heartfelt Father’s Day messages for David. Harper, the youngest, keeps her social media private since she’s only 14.

This peaceful moment comes after Brooklyn starred in a controversial World Cup ad for DoorDash. In the ad, he smirks and says, “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home… It’s a long story,” then tosses his World Cup tickets on a table with the line, “It’s complicated. More soon.” The ad clearly made fun of his rocky family ties, and many fans didn’t like it.

Still, Brooklyn probably isn’t too worried—reports say he earned a cool $1 million for the ad. A family insider shared their feelings, saying it’s a bit unfair for Brooklyn to joke about the family estrangement, especially since it’s causing real pain for his family, including his sister and grandparents.

They said this move doesn’t match his wishes for peace and privacy, and feels like he’s cashing in on his dad’s World Cup fame. While the family supports Brooklyn’s drive to make his own money, the source feels making light of a tough family situation isn’t the right choice.
