Newcastle quickly say yes to signing World Cup star using Sandro Tonali money from Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur looks set to sign Sandro Tonali for a fee that could reach £100 million, and it seems Newcastle United have already spent a big part of that money on a World Cup star.
Spurs’ rebuild is really picking up this summer, with Andy Robertson, Marco Senesi, and Jan Paul van Hecke all confirmed to join the team at White Hart Lane next season.
In the last few days, it looks like they’re about to add even more players. In fact, they’ve already broken their record transfer fee twice—first by agreeing to bring in Mateus Fernandes, and now with the Tonali deal.
Over at Newcastle, their captain Bruno Guimaraes is expected to move to Arsenal this summer. So, fans will be happy to hear they’re bringing a World Cup star to St James’ Park.
According to The Athletic, Newcastle has agreed to sign Ivory Coast winger Bazoumana Toure from Hoffenheim for around £42 million.
Toure will be a great boost for Newcastle this summer, especially after Anthony Gordon left for Barcelona and with the uncertainty around Tonali and Guimaraes.
Last season in the Bundesliga, Toure scored five goals and provided nine assists in 29 games for Hoffenheim, and he’s expected to help fill the gap left by Gordon.
Newcastle probably felt it was important to sign Toure after missing out on Victor Munoz last month, who chose to join Liverpool instead.
While fans expect to see Toure in black and white next season, they’ll want to wait for the official announcement and jersey photo before fully believing the deal, especially after Newcastle missed out on several signings in recent years.
