A fan sitting in the ‘loneliest seat’ at the Champions League got the surprise of a lifetime when Barcelona and Spain legend Xavi Hernandez came and sat right next to him.

Forest Robinson had traveled for 24 hours to watch Paris Saint-Germain’s dramatic penalty shoot-out win over Arsenal at the Puskas Arena in Budapest. He won a contest run by Heineken and content creator ‘The Padded Seat’ to see one of the biggest club football games live. However, his ticket was for a single, isolated seat high up in the stands.

Single seats like this can be found in stadiums around the world—they’re often the most lonely places, even when surrounded by thousands of fans. But Robinson, ready to enjoy the match alone, ended up having an unforgettable experience.

Out of nowhere, four-time Champions League winner Xavi appeared and revealed there was a second hidden seat next to him. The two shared a beer in the stands before heading to Heineken’s Skybox, where they watched the game in style with other fans and football legends.

And the surprises didn’t stop there! Xavi and Forest were also given a perfect pitchside view to see PSG lift the Champions League trophy again.

This fun social experiment was part of Heineken’s ‘Fans Have More Friends’ campaign, inspired by research showing that 75% of fans say being a fan helped them meet new people, and 82% believe sports moments are better when shared with others.
