Florentino Perez says Real Madrid will make a €150m offer for a ‘young player’ and rules out four other options.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has promised to make “the biggest offer in the club’s history” for a new superstar, but it won’t be anyone from the Premier League.
With the club’s presidential election coming up soon, Perez is making bold moves as he competes with challenger Enrique Riquelme. Earlier this week, Riquelme confidently said he would sign Manchester City’s Erling Haaland if he won the election, even showing off a Real Madrid shirt with ‘Haaland 9’ on it. But that plan didn’t go well, as Haaland’s agent quickly denied any talks, and Manchester City might take legal action.
So, what’s Perez doing to win votes? In a recent speech, the 79-year-old said Madrid will soon make a record-breaking offer for a young star. He said, “On Tuesday, I’m going to make an offer to an important Champions League club for a great player. It will be the most money Real Madrid has ever spent on a player—at least €150 million.”
Perez also made it clear it won’t be some well-known names like Haaland, Harry Kane, or Premier League players like Jeremy Doku or Michael Olise. Instead, he said it will be a player who plays in midfield or further forward, and is a true “Galáctico.” He added that they will talk to the player’s club first.
A report suggests Perez’s offer could be for one of two Paris Saint-Germain players – Vitinha or Joao Neves. Interestingly, several top players from PSG are valued around €140 million, including those two and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Other big names valued near that amount play in the Premier League, but Perez said it won’t be them.
Meanwhile, there’s news that Denzel Dumfries is set to join Real Madrid. Fellow Dutch player Tijjani Reijnders mentioned it in a recent interview, congratulating Dumfries on the move before it was officially announced. Dumfries himself didn’t confirm the transfer, saying he’s focused on the World Cup and proud of his time at Inter Milan.
Right now, Real Madrid’s biggest transfer was Jude Bellingham for $119.6 million, so this new offer would definitely break their record!
