Good news for Arsenal! They can include three players in a swap deal for Bruno Guimaraes after their £55m offer.

Arsenal might offer Newcastle United three players as part of a deal to sign Bruno Guimaraes this summer. The Gunners are looking for a new central midfielder and have their eyes on the Brazilian star to boost their squad.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Arsenal have already made an offer, but Newcastle aren’t willing to sell Bruno for just cash right now. He suggests Arsenal could come back with a different plan. Since Newcastle want to strengthen their attack and are reportedly interested in three Arsenal players, a swap deal might be possible.
Romano said in his latest YouTube video, “Arsenal did approach both the player and Newcastle about Bruno. Their offer was about £55 million, but Newcastle turned it down. Bruno is leaving it all to Newcastle; he’s respecting their decision.”
Arsenal won the Premier League last season under Mikel Arteta, but they want to keep improving if they’re to defend the title and do well in the Champions League again. Signing Guimaraes would show they mean business—especially after Manchester City signed target Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest. If money is an issue, Arsenal could offer some players in exchange to help make the deal.
Newcastle are also searching for a new left winger after Liverpool swooped in and signed Osasuna’s Victor Munoz for £34.5 million, making Newcastle start over in their hunt for a forward. This could work in Arsenal’s favor if they want to make a deal for Guimaraes.
According to Caught Offside, Newcastle are interested in Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, plus Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo as attacking options. They’ve discussed these players internally and already checked with Arsenal about a possible transfer. Trossard seems unlikely to move, as he’s close to joining Turkish club Besiktas.
A source said, “Newcastle are exploring other options and weren’t fully committed to Munoz. They’ve asked about Trossard and Martinelli and like Gakpo, but Martinelli might be cheaper. Nothing is finalized yet. Newcastle won’t rush and want a deal that strengthens their squad and offers good value.”
Another possibility could be Arsenal’s young player Ethan Nwaneri. He had a tough loan spell at Marseille last season and might leave permanently this summer. TEAMtalk recently said Arsenal are open to selling him, with Newcastle, Everton, Aston Villa, and Italian club Como interested.
So, there’s still hope that a deal for Bruno Guimaraes might happen after all.
