The future of the LIV Golf players has been a hot topic ever since Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund said they would stop funding after the 2026 season. This news got many people wondering if the big names from LIV Golf might come back to the PGA Tour.

Rory McIlroy shared his thoughts about the players on the LIV circuit who don’t want to return to the PGA Tour. He said that ultimately, it’s Brian Rolapp, the PGA Tour CEO, who will make that call.

Recently, Rolapp opened up a bit about talks with LIV players regarding a possible return. On The Rich Eisen Show, he said, “All of their guys are under contract right now, so until those contracts end, it’s not something we need to worry about. Honestly, we’re focusing mostly on the future and how to make the Tour better. I don’t want to discuss private conversations, but it’s normal for people to be curious about what lies ahead.”

Two LIV stars often mentioned as possible returnees are Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau. DeChambeau had once said he might rather focus on his YouTube channel than come back to the PGA Tour if he left LIV. But in a recent chat with Garrett Johnson from Skratch, he hinted that a return could be possible.

Bryson also mentioned that the decision might not be up to Rolapp or other top leaders but really depends on whether the current PGA Tour players want him back. He said, “I don’t think it’s just Brian Rolapp or the top executives; it’s about whether the players want me back. If not, I totally get it.”
