Ljungberg famously dyed his hair red during the club’s 2001/02 double-winning season, and fans loved him for it. His red hair even inspired the chant, “We love you Freddie, because you’ve got red hair!”
Ljungberg, who played 325 times for Arsenal and later worked as a coach, said he dyed his hair since he was a teenager just because it was part of who he is. He explained, “I don’t do it to get attention from people. I do it for me. It’s a personality thing. I’ve been coloring my hair since I was 14 back in Sweden.”
