Man United might lose their £51m signing after only two years, as two big European clubs show interest.

PSG are making a surprise move for Manchester United’s young star, Leny Yoro, while another top European club is also showing interest.

Luis Enrique’s team has won the last two Champions League titles — the first in PSG’s history — and now they want to bring Yoro back to France. PSG have admired the 20-year-old for a while, impressed by how he can play both right-back and centre-back for Manchester United, coached by Michael Carrick.

According to TEAMtalk, PSG sees Yoro as one of France’s best defensive talents in recent years. Manchester United signed him for £51.4 million in 2024. Since then, Yoro has played 71 times for the Red Devils but has only made 88 Premier League minutes this season for a team struggling in 13th place.

Yoro is fighting for more game time under Carrick but recently got a rare international start with France in a Nations League game against Belgium, thanks to their new coach Zinedine Zidane. He was a regular starter under former manager Ruben Amorim, who’s now having great success with AC Milan in Italy. However, Yoro’s progress has slowed down with Carrick.

TEAMtalk says Yoro is “playing for his future at the club,” but Manchester United insists they still back the French player. Even so, the club has recently shown interest in other defenders, including Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite, who costs around £80 million.

While Manchester United see Yoro as a long-term investment, PSG wants to lure him away and test the club’s loyalty. Besides PSG, Bayern Munich, the German champions, are also quietly interested. Both clubs could offer Yoro more regular playing time and chances to grow, which he’s not guaranteed right now at Manchester United.

When the Red Devils returned to Premier League action, Yoro played 59 minutes at right-back in a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford. It was his first league start this season, after limited time in earlier games. He made some important defensive moves, winning tackles and duels and even a key last-ditch tackle.

After the match, Yoro said, “I can play either centre-back or right-back. I’m happy to play wherever needed. The roles may be different, but you have to adapt. Whatever the position, I’m ready and happy to play.”

While Yoro’s future at Manchester United is still uncertain, PSG and Bayern Munich are watching closely and ready to make their move.
