Jake Paul gets roasted for speech he gave in front of Donald Trump at a rally

Jake Paul stirred up some buzz with his comments about political protesters when he spoke at President Donald Trump’s rally in Youngstown, Ohio, on Monday (October 12).

Paul flew with Trump and former NFL coach Jon Gruden on Air Force One before stepping up to the microphone. A native of Ohio who found fame online and later became a boxer, Paul used his speech to criticize protesters and share his belief that political power should stay with everyday Americans.

You might know Paul as someone who’s no stranger to making headlines with strong opinions. His speech at the rally definitely showed that side of him.

Trump’s visit to Youngstown was part of his push to help Republicans keep their seats in the upcoming midterm elections. Paul, who openly supports Trump along with his brother Logan, kicked off his talk with a dig at the Democrats and their supporters.

“I get confused by the left, the protesters. Do they not have jobs? That’s all they do, carry signs around while we’re working,” the 29-year-old said.

The crowd didn’t respond as much as he hoped, with only a few cheers when he paused for applause.

“We have to protect Ohio; we face evil,” he went on. “All they do is talk on Twitter, but Twitter fingers never built the country. Hate never built the country, and the woke socialist movement we see has never built a country.”

That part got a bit more energy from the crowd, but his punchline didn’t land well. Trump even joked that he wasn’t sure what Paul might say when he got on stage.

“That was very good! I was impressed. You gotta be careful with Jake. I didn’t know what he’d say!” Trump said with a smile. “That was very good. Thanks, Jake!”

After a tough knockout loss to Anthony Joshua in December, Paul had surgery on his broken jaw and thought about quitting boxing. But after healing, he quickly changed his mind and is expected to fight again sometime in 2027.

There’s been talk for a while about him trying MMA. His company, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), recently joined forces with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) to compete with Dana White’s UFC, which has made fans even more curious about his next move.

While no opponent or date is set yet, Paul has been training hard. Recently, video showed him punching a heavy bag with a large snake wrapped around the chain above it.

The snake, believed to be a python, stayed close to the bag as Paul moved around, throwing punches while keeping an eye on it.

The video upset many people online, who felt the animal was put under stress. This only added to the criticism aimed at Paul.
