Man Utd to ease tricky rule for one game against Bournemouth because of Storm Boelo problems
Manchester United have given fans some good news ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth. They’ve decided to ease a rule that some supporters find tough, just for this game.
The match will be at Old Trafford, even though Storm Boelo has caused bad weather and travel problems across the North West. Along with Manchester United’s game, Liverpool’s match versus Brighton is also going ahead as planned.
Usually, United’s season ticket holders have to attend or officially use their seats in at least 16 out of 19 Premier League games, or they risk losing their tickets. This rule has upset some fans, especially when match times change for TV broadcasts.
With the storm and major tram line closures making travel tricky, some fans worried they might miss the Bournemouth game and have it count against their season ticket use. But the Manchester United Supporters’ Trust says the club has promised that missing this match because of weather won’t affect anyone’s ticket status this time.
If fans can’t go, they might not be able to resell their ticket through the club now, but they can still give it to another official member who can use it.
Liverpool also confirmed their Premier League and Women’s Super League games are on despite the bad weather, asking fans to travel carefully and listen to stadium staff.
So, great news for fans dealing with the storm—your tickets are safe if you can’t make it to this game!
