Arsenal legend Martin Keown was watching and sharing his thoughts live from Budapest as he saw Mikel Arteta’s team lose to PSG in the Champions League final.

Fans of the Premier League champs had a tough time in Hungary as Gabriel missed his penalty, handing the Ligue 1 winners the trophy. Arsenal started strong with an early goal from Kai Havertz, but then gave away a penalty that Ousmane Dembele calmly scored to tie the game.

The score stayed 1-1 through regular time and extra time, with Arsenal struggling to create clear chances — they only managed one shot on target besides their goal.

Even with this loss, Arsenal fans are excited to celebrate their Premier League win as the team parades the trophy through North London on Sunday. It’s their first league title in 22 years, and while that’s a big achievement, many feel the Champions League final was a golden chance to win another big trophy. Fans hope the team will come back stronger next year.

Keown thinks there’s one key spot Arsenal should improve if they want to build on this season’s success. He feels they need to bring in another striker. Despite Havertz scoring, Keown believes this position lacks depth and star power.

This comes after the club signed Viktor Gyokeres for £65 million, but his season has been up and down.

Keown told TNT Sports: “They might look again at the striker spot. Kai Havertz played the full 90 minutes tonight, but that’s only the second full game he’s played in 18 months. It was a tough night for Gyokeres too. Maybe they also look at left wing. Mikel Arteta will strengthen the squad, no doubt about it.”

Arteta is likely to get the support he needs to build on this great season. Having shown strong defense all year, the club might want to add a world-class striker who can have the same impact up front as players like William Saliba and Gabriel have had in defense.
