PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp recently shared his thoughts on the rumors that LIV Golf might shut down and whether stars like Bryson DeChambeau could come back. Right now, the future of LIV Golf is very uncertain, with reports saying the league’s days might be numbered just five years after it started.

There are talks that LIV Golf officials are preparing a big announcement soon, and rumors have suggested that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) might stop supporting the league. Some players have said they haven’t heard anything about the league ending, and CEO Scott O’Neil even said they’re moving forward full speed with their plans.

Still, the rumors keep going, which led Rolapp to speak up. On the Wingo podcast, he said, “I’m just like everyone else, reading the news as it comes. I don’t really know what’s going on, so I can’t really guess. My main focus is on making the PGA Tour better.”

If LIV Golf did shut down, the 57 players in the league would suddenly be without a place to play, opening the door for some of golf’s biggest names to return to the PGA Tour. Players like DeChambeau and Jon Rahm are currently with LIV, and if they came back, it might upset some fans and players since they chose not to come back earlier this year when given the chance.

Rolapp said the same return offer might not be made again but didn’t rule out welcoming DeChambeau, Rahm, or others back to the PGA Tour. “I’ve always said I want to do what’s best for the PGA Tour. Fans want to see the best players competing together. Once we know more, we’ll figure things out, but for now, there’s no clear answer.”
