Playful George Russell jokes about Lewis Hamilton’s relationship with Kim Kardashian at Silverstone fan event
At a fan event at Silverstone, George Russell had a bit of fun teasing Lewis Hamilton about his relationship with Kim Kardashian. Lewis started dating Kim, the famous American TV star, earlier in 2026 after focusing on his Formula One career for nearly ten years.
The 41-year-old driver has said that Kim has made him a “happier” man, which shows in how well he’s been driving lately. Kim even made her first visit to the paddock last month at Monaco, watching from the Ferrari garage balcony along with her sister Khloe, as Lewis finished second in the race.
Since then, Lewis won his first ever Grand Prix for Ferrari in Barcelona, beating Russell and Lando Norris, and then came fifth in Austria. As a seven-time champion, Lewis is in high spirits ahead of racing again at Silverstone this weekend.
During the fan event, Russell joked about Lewis’s happiness since starting his relationship with Kim. Commentator David Croft asked if it was because of the fast car or the new girlfriend, which made everyone laugh. Croft also joked about Kim taking Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli’s towels at Monaco, making light of the friendly rivalry.
Lewis took a moment to praise Ferrari’s support and said his relationship with Kim has definitely helped him. He talked about how challenging his first year with Ferrari was but how the team’s hard work is paying off.
After his historic win in Spain, hopes are high that Lewis can fight for an eighth drivers’ title. He’s currently third in the standings, 46 points behind the leader, Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli, after eight races.
Lewis told the excited crowd, “I won’t stop until we get there.” He also shared how much he’s looking forward to feeding off the fantastic support at Silverstone as he goes for his 10th British Grand Prix win on Sunday. He thinks the home crowd’s energy gives him an extra boost, just like racing legend Nigel Mansell once said.
A win at Silverstone would be perfect timing for Lewis, who has already signed on to stay with Ferrari through the 2027 season.
