Real Madrid has chosen a penalty after Valverde ended up in the hospital with a cut following a fight with Tchouameni.

Real Madrid has decided on the punishment for Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni after their fight led to a trip to the hospital.

On Wednesday, news from Spain said Real Madrid was in chaos, with six players refusing to talk to coach Alvaro Arbeloa, and others fighting during training.

The first problem was Antonio Rudiger reportedly slapping Alvaro Carreras during practice, while star striker Kylian Mbappe also got into a heated argument with a staff member.

But the biggest issue was between midfielders Valverde and Tchouameni. They argued during training on Wednesday, which turned physical as they pushed each other and kept arguing in the locker room.

Less than a day later, things got worse when they clashed again. Other players had to step in, and Valverde ended up going to the hospital.

The fight reportedly started when Valverde refused to shake hands with Tchouameni after their first argument, sparking another fight.

According to Spanish media Cadena SER, the fight in the locker room ended with Valverde falling and hitting his head on a table, causing a cut that needed stitches. He was rushed to the hospital.

Sources said the cut happened because Valverde slipped, not because of a punch from Tchouameni.

Arbeloa reportedly went with Valverde to the hospital, but no one from the club has spoken about the incident yet.

After the fight, Real Madrid made it clear that both players will face serious punishment. A source said, “It will be the maximum possible penalty.”

Both players have been told to follow disciplinary orders, and the club will investigate both fights.

Right now, it’s not clear if either Valverde or Tchouameni will miss the big El Clasico match against Barcelona at the Camp Nou on Sunday.

Because this game is so important—with just one point needed for Hansi Flick’s team to win the title—the timing of these events couldn’t be worse.
