The fight rules for Tommy Fury vs Eddie Hall are out, and the huge weight difference between them has been confirmed!

The official rules for the Tommy Fury vs. Eddie Hall fight have been announced, and it might not be great news for one of them.

On Saturday night, undefeated boxer Tommy Fury, who’s the younger brother of former heavyweight champ Tyson Fury, will be back in the ring at a Misfits Boxing event in Manchester. The 27-year-old will be facing Eddie Hall, a former World’s Strongest Man making his Misfits Boxing debut. Hall has fought in other boxing and MMA events before.

Even though Fury is also a heavyweight boxer, many expected Hall to weigh quite a bit more, which raised questions about the fight’s rules. Now, with the fight just days away, Hall has shared the official details of the bout.

He said on talkSPORT, “The fight will be with 12oz gloves and six rounds of two minutes each. I’ll weigh in as I am right now, as long as I’m fit. I’ll probably be around 150kg. There’s no weight limit. I’ve been eating mostly meat, eggs, and dairy lately.”

According to ESPN, the fight is an exhibition match, so no matter who wins or loses, it won’t count on either fighter’s professional record.

Many fans think the rules were set to give Hall a bit of an advantage, especially since Fury seems to have more boxing experience. Without a weight limit, Hall can focus on training without worrying about cutting weight. Plus, with only six two-minute rounds, the 38-year-old Hall can push himself harder without stressing too much about his stamina. For comparison, normal men’s boxing rounds are three minutes each, so Hall has less time to tire out.

Also, since this is an exhibition, Fury’s spotless record won’t be at risk if Hall manages to score a knockout.

At the official weigh-in on Friday, Hall was a huge 108.1 lbs (49 kg) heavier than Fury. Hall weighed in at 325.6 lbs (147.7 kg), while Fury came in at 217.5 lbs (98.7 kg).

Despite the size difference, Fury is still the favorite to win. Many believe Hall will need a knockout to pull off an upset with so much weight on his side.

When asked how he plans to win, Hall confidently said, “Overhand right. Third round. Knockout.”

Fury, on the other hand, said he can win whenever he wants. “I’ve pictured it in my head. The fight ends when I connect, whether that’s the first round or the last. When I hit, I’ll follow it up.”

When asked about Hall’s weight, Fury said, “He could be 400 lbs heavier, I don’t care. I’m ready to fight tomorrow, no matter who’s across the ring. The Beast is going back in his cage, and I’ll be on top again. Whoever lands the first shot, it’ll be goodnight.”

Tommy Fury vs. Eddie Hall will take place on Saturday, June 13, with the whole event live on DAZN Pay-Per-View and Ultimate Tier. The first fight starts at 6:40 pm BST, and Fury and Hall are expected to enter the ring around 10:27 pm BST.
