Three possible replacements for Tyson Fury named as Anthony Joshua’s fight is unsure due to injury worries

There are talks that Tyson Fury might have to pull out of his big fight with Anthony Joshua, and if that happens, three other boxers could step in as great replacements. The big British heavyweight fight between Fury and Joshua is set for December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, and fans are really excited.
But recently, former British champion Frank Bruno hinted that Fury might have an injury. This has made people worry that the fight might need a backup plan. Bruno, who knows Fury well, said on a podcast that someone told him Fury has an undisclosed injury that could stop him from fighting Joshua.
Tony Bellew, another boxing expert on the show, thinks Fury might just be playing mind games, trying to confuse people about his fitness. Fury is known for that. Still, it doesn’t make fans worry any less since the fight is coming up soon.
If Fury really can’t fight, the plan might be to reschedule. But if the injury keeps him out longer, Joshua might take on a different opponent to stay active. Here are some possible replacements:
The most likely and exciting option is Deontay Wilder, a former champion who’s fought Fury three times but never settled things with Joshua. Since Wilder is already scheduled to fight on the same card, it wouldn’t be hard to switch him in.
Another option is Andy Ruiz Jr., who shocked everyone by knocking Joshua out in 2019 before Joshua won their rematch. Ruiz has wanted a third fight for a while, and stepping in now could be a thrilling way to settle their rivalry.
Lastly, Joseph Parker, who Joshua beat in 2018 in Cardiff to unify heavyweight titles, could be tempted to come back for a rematch. Parker is currently looking ahead to a title shot, but a big fight with Joshua might be too good to pass up.
So, while fans hope to see Fury and Joshua face off as planned, these other fighters could still keep things exciting if plans change.
