Jack Grealish’s chat with a Cardiff fan goes viral as the reason he showed up at the Wrexham game comes out

A fun moment between Jack Grealish and a Cardiff City fan has gone viral after the Manchester City midfielder was asked if he was signing permanently or just on loan.
The day after playing for City in their Community Shield loss to Arsenal, Grealish went to watch the Welsh derby between Cardiff and Wrexham.
The 30-year-old was there to support his childhood friend Callum Robinson, who plays for Cardiff. They were teammates back in the Aston Villa academy days.
But Grealish showing up at Cardiff City Stadium got people talking, with rumors swirling that he might be joining Wrexham—a surprising idea that caught the attention of Sky Sports commentators Gary Weaver and Don Goodman.
“Wrexham have got money,” Weaver said during Monday’s game. “Jack Grealish was playing in the Community Shield just yesterday. And his good friend Callum Robinson is here tonight. Maybe Jack’s sticking around Cardiff a little longer to watch this big game.”
Goodman joked that Weaver might get in trouble for starting rumors, to which Weaver laughed, “Always do.”
After the game, Grealish had a playful exchange with a fan who asked, “Jack, is this a permanent deal or just a loan move?” Grealish smiled and said, “I don’t know yet!” before walking away.
Fans loved the clip on social media. One said, “Jack Grealish really seems like such a genuine guy. Hope he gets back to his best this season,” while another called him “one of the most likeable guys in football.” Someone else added, “He’s such a great bloke for always chatting with fans. Most players wouldn’t even glance up.”
As for Grealish’s future, it’s still up in the air. He came back to City this summer after a loan at Everton but is still linked with moving away from Manchester.
He did play in City’s 3-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday, coming on in the second half and earning praise from City’s head coach, Enzo Maresca.
“Jack came on when we were already 2-0 down, so it was a tough situation,” Maresca said. “But overall, he did well. The players still here are working hard and will get chances if they deserve them.”
When asked about Grealish’s future, Maresca said, “The transfer window is still open, so we’ll see what happens.”
