Paul Heyman talks about Brock Lesnar’s retirement rumors after heartfelt WrestleMania moment

Paul Heyman was recently asked about the rumors that Brock Lesnar might be retiring, as people keep guessing what’s next for him in WWE. His answer might surprise you, especially after what happened at Wrestlemania 42.

On Sunday night, Lesnar lost to a rising star, Oba Femi, in just four minutes and 42 seconds. After the match, an emotional Lesnar left his gloves and boots in the middle of the ring. The 48-year-old has been a top wrestler for over 20 years and had hinted recently in an interview that his time with WWE might be short.

After Wrestlemania 42, when Lesnar hugged his on-screen manager Paul Heyman and waved to the crowd, many people thought he was saying goodbye to WWE. But before Sunday’s event, Heyman downplayed those retirement rumors.

In an interview with TMZ after Lesnar’s loss, Heyman was asked about the future. He said, “What’s my vision? Another 15 years of Brock Lesnar dominating.” When the reporter mentioned retirement, Heyman quickly denied it.

He added, “Why are you pushing retirement stories? People believe everything they read online. That’s just part of the big divide these days. There’s only one opinion that matters — mine — and mine is that Brock will keep dominating for the next 15 years.”

Many fans expected Lesnar to retire later this year at SummerSlam in his home state, Minneapolis. Former WWE star Bubba Ray Dudley even thinks Gunther should be the one to retire Lesnar down the line.

On Busted Open Radio, Bubba Ray said, “Look at what’s coming up for Gunther soon. The potential is huge. First, retire AJ at the Royal Rumble, bring back Brock, then have Gunther retire Brock at SummerSlam in Minnesota.”

He added, “That way, Gunther would become a huge star and the next big World Heavyweight champion in the future.”
