Amar Dedic is at the heart of a big police operation after people saw the Newcastle defender carrying a bow and arrows in public.

On Wednesday in Northumberland, at least six police cars showed up after Newcastle United and Bosnia defender Amar Dedic was reportedly seen carrying a bow and arrows. Someone walking by got worried and called the police when they saw Dedic and a friend with the bow near a reservoir on Military Road in the Harlow Hill area.
According to the Daily Mail, the police were sent to the spot and later found the pair about seven miles away in the Darras Hall Estate. An interesting twist happened when Newcastle United goalkeeper Mark Gillespie and former defender Paul Dummett happened to be nearby and came over to help while the police were talking to Dedic.
The police searched the car and took the bow and arrows, but they said there was no danger to anyone. They believe the bow was just for fun. A spokesperson from Northumbria Police said they got a call just after 1:55 pm about two men carrying the bow near the reservoir. After stopping the vehicle, they took the bow and confirmed it was for recreational use. The investigation is still ongoing.
It’s said that Dedic and his friend were shooting arrows in the countryside, but it’s not clear what they were aiming at. It’s important to know that under UK law, you’re not allowed to hunt animals or birds with a bow or crossbow.
Dedic, who joined Newcastle from Benfica in the summer, is expected to play in their upcoming Premier League game against Fulham on Saturday. The club is not planning to punish him over this incident.
