Big changes coming at Nottingham Forest as they get ready for another manager switch behind the scenes.

After selling Elliot Anderson to Manchester City, Nottingham Forest has more funds for 2026/27 and is reportedly making quiet moves to find a new manager to replace Vitor Pereira.

Forest has had a really tough season, going through four different managers. Owner Evangelos Marinakis saw the team switch quickly from Nuno Espirito Santo to Ange Postecoglou, then Sean Dyche, and finally Vitor Pereira.

When Pereira took over, it seemed almost impossible, but he managed to keep Forest in the Premier League—though it was a close call until the end of the season. Despite that success, reports say Pereira might not stay long, with talks happening behind the scenes about parting ways.

Fabrizio Romano shared that Forest won’t continue with Pereira for the next season, as the club is already looking for a new manager. Pereira did well, earning 17 points in 12 games, a big improvement from his time at Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier.

Marinakis reportedly hired Pereira just for the end of the season and even had Marco Silva from Fulham in mind as a replacement. But that plan changed since Silva is now expected to join Benfica.

Pereira has also caught some attention from Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League, where he’s worked before with Al-Shabab.

As for Forest’s next manager, they showed interest in Oliver Glasner, who recently ended his time at Crystal Palace. It’s not clear if he’ll take the job since he seems to be looking for a step up and hasn’t landed a new club yet. Other available options include Premier League-ready managers like Thomas Frank and Liam Rosenior, while Gareth Southgate is still searching for his next role after England.

There are also bigger names out there—like Xavi, Massimiliano Allegri, and Antonio Conte—if Forest can pull off a surprise move similar to Everton’s appointment of Ancelotti.
