England fans not allowed to bring 33 items into World Cup stadiums
We’re just a few days into the 2026 World Cup, and fans from all over the world have been pouring into North America, filling the streets with excitement. From Scotland’s lively Tartan Army cheering at a Boston Red Sox game to the Dutch fans rocking their bright orange jerseys as they move from pubs to stadiums, every group of supporters is making their presence felt.
Now it’s England’s turn to shine. Their opening game against Croatia is the biggest challenge of the group stage, and the fans will be cheering on Tuchel’s team to get off to a strong start.
But don’t expect the same festival vibe as in 2010. Items like vuvuzelas are just some of the 33 things England fans won’t be allowed to bring into Dallas Stadium. FIFA has tightened up rules to keep everyone safe, banning more items than usual.
At the top of the no-go list are food, drinks, cans, and most bottles. This caused a stir earlier when fans couldn’t bring snacks or water despite the heat. FIFA then made an exception for sealed water bottles under 590ml.
Also banned are common fan items like beach umbrellas, selfie sticks, folding chairs, and inflatables — so no funny ghost goal moments this time! Loud noise makers like air horns and vuvuzelas are not allowed either.
England fans should also note that bags are a big focus: only clear, see-through bags under 6.5 inches wide are allowed. Any bigger backpacks or purses will be turned away since there won’t be bag checks inside.
As expected, there’s a strict ban on pyrotechnics, fireworks, smoke bombs, vapes, weapons, and aerosols too.
If you’re heading to the games, make sure you know the full list of banned items before you go — especially when it comes to bags and drinks — to avoid any surprises.
