Jadon Sancho surprised everyone by offering to join an EFL club instead of moving to Getafe.
Jadon Sancho, the former Manchester United and England winger, is currently out of contract and has been offered to an English Football League (EFL) club after a previous offer from Spain’s Getafe. Sancho has been without a team since his contract with Manchester United ended in June. Although he was still under contract with United, he spent the last two and a half seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Aston Villa, helping Villa win the Europa League last season.
Even though Sancho played well for Unai Emery’s team, Aston Villa chose not to sign him permanently, so he’s now a free agent. Earlier reports said Getafe offered him about £10,000 a week, which is much less than the £300,000 a week he earned at United, and it seems he’s looking for other options.
On Tuesday, talkSPORT shared that West Ham United, currently in the Championship, were offered Sancho’s services. His agents are also reaching out to other English clubs to find him a new home. West Ham, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are currently third in the Championship after 12 matches.
West Ham fans have shared their thoughts about the potential signing on social media, and opinions are mixed. Some fans think it’s worth trying if he agrees to lower wages, and others believe that signing Sancho would show the club is serious about getting back to the Premier League. A few fans mentioned how Sancho could play in different positions and might be similar to the successful loan of Lingard. However, some worry about his attitude and how it might affect the team.
West Ham’s next game is at home against West Bromwich Albion on October 31, so fans are eagerly watching to see what happens next.
