Rafael Leao stirs things up with his comment about Bruno Fernandes amid Man United transfer rumors

AC Milan winger Rafael Leao has stirred up a buzz online with a comment on Bruno Fernandes’ social media, making many fans think he might be heading to the Premier League soon. Leao scored 9 goals for Milan in Serie A last season as they finished fifth, which eventually led to Max Allegri being let go in his second spell with the team.
The 26-year-old has often been linked with several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool. Leao, who used to play for Lille, has already said he wants to leave San Siro. He told Portuguese media, “I’m proud of what I did at AC Milan, but I’m ready for a new chapter. I feel prepared to play in another league. I gave my best for Milan, but it’s time for a new challenge.”
Even though he’s getting ready to play for Portugal at the upcoming World Cup in North America, it seems the Premier League is where he wants to go next. He got fans talking by commenting on an Instagram post from his fellow Portuguese player, Bruno Fernandes. Replying to a photo of them training together, Leao wrote, “Lezzz goooo man.”
Some fans jokingly called Fernandes “Agent Bruno,” and others said, “let the flirting begin.” After seven seasons with Milan, Leao looks set to move on, and reports suggest he could be available for much less than before. While his release clause was once said to be €175 million (£151.4 million), Calciomercato reports Milan are now valuing him closer to €40 million (£34.6 million), which could make a move much easier.
Leao’s contract runs until 2028, paying him about £149,100 a week, but it seems unlikely he’ll stay with Milan beyond the summer. He has spoken positively about English football before, telling Gaffer in 2023, “Every player wants to play in the Premier League because it’s very competitive.” He also expressed his admiration for Manchester United and Arsenal, saying the Premier League has “exciting football, great teams, and a worldwide audience.”
