Conor Benn shares update on his boxing plans amid talks of a big fight with a top rival

Conor Benn has shared some exciting news about the next chapter in his boxing journey.
He made his comeback on April 11, winning a clear decision against former world champion Regis Prograis. This fight took place on the undercard of Tyson Fury’s return against Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
At 29, this was Benn’s first fight since making a bold move to join Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing, leaving his longtime promoter Eddie Hearn behind.
It’s been reported that Benn earned over £10 million for that one fight, which made many wonder what his future in boxing would look like.
Now, it’s official—Conor has signed a new multi-fight, multi-year deal with Zuffa Boxing, giving him a solid path forward in the sport.
Dana White shared, “Conor and I just signed a new deal after the one-fight contract. We’re really excited to have him on board.”
Benn added, “I just signed a multi-fight deal, and I’m really pumped about it. Our goals match up—we want that world title. But more than that, we want to give fans the big fights they want. If you ask for it, we’ll make it happen.”
While his next opponent hasn’t been announced yet, there are strong talks about a huge fight with WBC welterweight champ Ryan Garcia.
According to Boxing Scene, the two fighters are pretty far along in their discussions for a match later this summer, though the exact date and place are still being decided.
The fight is expected to be streamed on Netflix or DAZN.
Garcia, 27, won the WBC title in February by beating Mario Barrios, improving his record to 25–1.
It’s not clear yet if Garcia will join Zuffa Boxing as one of their top stars or if the fight will be jointly promoted, but either way, it’s shaping up to be a thrilling showdown.
