Dana White calls Eddie Hearn a total fruit loop after surprising Joshua vs. Fury claim
Dana White didn’t hold back when he responded to Eddie Hearn’s comments about his role in the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury fight.
White, who helped make the UFC one of the biggest names in combat sports, is now stepping into boxing with his new promotion, Zuffa Boxing. Back in February, Zuffa made a big move by signing British boxing star Conor Benn, which was a big blow to Matchroom boss Hearn. Benn had been with Matchroom for nearly 10 years, from his pro debut in 2016 until his surprising split in 2026.
Since then, Hearn and White have had several back-and-forths, building one of the most exciting rivalries in combat sports. So, when Hearn called White a “clout chaser” after White’s comments about promoting the Joshua vs. Fury fight, White didn’t hold back. On Instagram, Hearn even added fuel to the fire by saying, “Such a clout chaser, not a chance contractually impossible. Let me know when you find your balls.”
After the huge UFC 328 event, White was asked about Hearn’s remarks, and he took the chance to fire back, questioning Hearn’s confidence about their rumored fight.
White said, “This fruit loop came out and said he’s the biggest fight in boxing while having Bam Rodriguez, Anthony Joshua, and other big names around. He calls himself the biggest fight in boxing? That’s crazy! Nobody knew who this guy was just four months ago, and now he’s the biggest fight? I hope that answers your question.”
Even though Hearn doubted it, White seemed to stand by his claim about being involved in promoting Joshua vs. Fury during the UFC 328 press conference. In a livestream with social media star Nina Drama, White said, “This is the busiest year of my career. I’m traveling a lot. I’m really focused on Zuffa Boxing, signing fighters, and putting on great fights. We also made a deal with Sky in the UK, so there will be great fights on Sky. And yes, I’m promoting the Tyson Fury vs. AJ fight too.”
When asked if he would definitely promote what could be the biggest fight in British boxing history after UFC 328, White gave a playful but confident answer: “I don’t know, let’s see what happens. Do I ever say stuff that doesn’t happen?”
