We’ve been waiting almost fifteen years to see Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury face off in the ring, and this year, it’s finally happening! Known as the Battle of Britain, both boxing stars have planned their year around this big fight, pushing the date back a bit so they can be in top shape.

There are still a few last details to sort out before the fight gets official approval, but everything points to an exciting winter match. Promoter Eddie Hearn has now shared when the fight will happen.

The match was confirmed last month by famous matchmaker Turki Alalshikh, shortly after Tyson’s first fight since coming out of retirement. Joshua wants to get some practice in too, so he’s scheduled a fight against Kristian Prenga next.

Rumor has it Joshua might even fight Deontay Wilder before facing Fury, aiming for two fights each this year (and no, we’re not counting that Jake Paul dance!). All this will have to wrap up before the final months of the year because Eddie Hearn has set November as the time for the big Battle of Britain.

“For us, we were always told it was November. It’s definitely happening this year,” Hearn told SunSport. “But I do still expect the fight to take place in November.” As for where it will be, that’s still undecided.

“It’s where Turki Alalshikh says it’s happening. He’s the one paying the bills. But the UK makes sense to us,” Hearn added.

Both fighters are excited to face each other and settle the score, though getting that contract signed has been tricky for Hearn and Frank Warren. With both men training hard to be in peak condition (not easy when you’re in your thirties!), things are looking good.

Tyson Fury isn’t stopping at Joshua either—he’s already thinking about a fourth big fight as part of his comeback and aiming to win another belt. It’s shaping up to be an amazing year for boxing fans!
