England played to a 0-0 draw with Ghana in their second match of the 2026 World Cup. Ghana made things tough for England, who were the clear favourites to win. The Three Lions didn’t really challenge Ghana much, with their best chance coming late when Nico Reilly hit the crossbar with a header, and then Harry Kane shot the rebound over the bar from close range.

The good news for England is that they’re still top of the group after this draw, but they haven’t guaranteed their spot in the next round yet.

Here’s how the players did:

Jordan Pickford – 5
The England goalkeeper wasn’t really tested, as Ghana didn’t have any shots on target. He did get lucky once when he collided with a Ghana player, leading to a free kick that could have gone either way.

Djed Spence – 5
Spence didn’t add much to England’s attack on the left side in the first half but got more involved after halftime before being subbed off around the 60-minute mark.

Marc Guehi – 5
He wasn’t seriously challenged by Ghana’s attack but did his defensive job and tried to start some attacks from the back.

Ezri Konsa – 5
Like Guehi, Konsa didn’t face much trouble and made a last-minute tackle to stop Ghana, though it was called off for offside.

Reece James – 5
A solid game from the Chelsea captain. He wasn’t tested defensively and didn’t contribute much going forward.

Declan Rice – 6
Rice played a disciplined game, especially in the last minutes to stop Ghana from countering. He didn’t add much in attack, though.

Elliot Anderson – 6
Anderson was central to England’s play, working both defense and attack and trying hard to make things happen.

Anthony Gordon – 5
Gordon was quiet in the first half but got more involved after the break, causing some problems for Ghana before coming off around the 60-minute mark.

Jude Bellingham – 4
Bellingham made history as the youngest England player to reach 50 caps but was frustrated by Ghana’s tight defense. He helped out defensively but struggled to find space to create chances.

Noni Madueke – 5
Madueke looked dangerous at times when going directly at defenders, but he didn’t do it enough to create scoring chances.

Harry Kane – 4
Kane struggled to find space because of Ghana’s tactics. He missed the one big chance he had, shooting over the bar from six yards.

Substitutes:

Bakary Saka (for Gordon) – 6
Saka brought some energy after coming on and caused the Ghana goalie to make a good save.

Nico Reilly (for Spence) – 6
Reilly came closest to scoring, hitting the bar in the final minutes and showing quality on the left side.

Morgan Rogers (for Bellingham) – 4
Rogers found it hard to make an impact and couldn’t find space against Ghana’s defense.

Eberechi Eze (for Anderson) – 4
Eze didn’t have much influence after coming on and couldn’t help England get a winning goal.

Marcus Rashford (for Madueke) – 4
Rashford didn’t offer much during his time on the pitch.
