FIFA finally announces the kick-off time for England vs Mexico match!

The kick-off time for the England vs. Mexico Round of 16 game at the World Cup has finally been confirmed after there was talk of moving it six hours earlier because of worries about bad weather.
The match was originally set for 6pm local time (1am UK time). But because of fears about flooding and thunderstorms, FIFA thought about starting it at noon local time instead, which would be 7pm in the UK.
After lots of guessing and chatting, FIFA has now said the game will go ahead at the original 6pm time.
The FA told the Daily Mirror they were “deeply concerned” about fans who planned to watch the game live in Mexico City at the original time. England’s team was also upset because they first heard about the possible time change from the news, which made getting ready harder.
Marcus Rashford shared his thoughts on the possible change, saying: “For us, it’s the same when we prepare. We have to stay focused and be ready for anything. That’s one of our strengths. Everyone, players and staff, we’re ready for any challenge. It’s not ideal, but it doesn’t really matter.”
On the other side, Mexico’s coach Javier Aguirre was very upset when he heard the game might be moved to midday local time on Sunday. Talking to journalist Joaquin López Doriga, he said, “That’s like a kick in the gut; it changes everything, the plan. It’s not completely ruined, but almost, because we have to deal with six hours of planned training lost.
“We’ll follow FIFA’s decision, but I don’t like it, and neither do my players. Things like food, naps, sleep, physiotherapy—they all matter. Today, 60 people are working hard so these 26 players can win on Sunday. This change is serious, and honestly, they didn’t ask me about it, and I’m pretty angry.”
Both teams were frustrated by FIFA’s confusion and the possible disruption to their plans, but now the kick-off time is set.
