Harry Kane rumored to make an amazing summer move that could make the team unstoppable

Harry Kane has one year left on his Bayern Munich contract, and soon he’ll need to decide if he wants to take on one more big challenge in his playing career.

Kane will turn 33 after this summer’s World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He might find inspiration in Bayern’s former star, Robert Lewandowski, who made a big move late in his career by joining one of the world’s top football clubs.

Lewandowski, still going strong at 37, left Bayern for Barcelona in 2022 and added three La Liga titles to his already impressive list of trophies. His time at Barcelona will wrap up after their next game against Valencia. The club is even thinking about bringing back a top veteran striker like him to fill the big shoes he left behind.

According to Spanish news, Barcelona and their former Bayern coach, Hansi Flick, want to sign a top striker this summer. “The club is determined to sign a world-class centre forward,” says Mundo Deportivo. “If needed, they might lower their standards a bit, but only if their first three choices aren’t available.”

Those three targets are Chelsea’s Joao Pedro, Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, and England captain Harry Kane. All three are serious options as Barcelona plans their transfers for after the 2025-26 season.

Mundo Deportivo also mentions that getting Kane won’t be easy since he’s had a fantastic season at Bayern—winning the Bundesliga and German Cup, plus reaching the Champions League semi-finals. Plus, his contract runs until 2027, though he hasn’t renewed yet.

Meanwhile, Kane’s old club, Tottenham Hotspur, is battling to avoid relegation in the Premier League, while Kane himself is gearing up for the 2026 World Cup in great shape.

He’s scored an incredible 98 goals in 94 Bundesliga games, including 36 goals in the most recent season. Following in Lewandowski’s footsteps, Kane has won back-to-back Bundesliga titles in 2024-25 and 2025-26. He’s also been named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season for the past three years.

After Bayern’s DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart this Saturday, Kane will focus on leading England as they open their World Cup Group L campaign against Croatia.
